Summary

The rates of reported cases of acute hepatitis B were consistently higher among males than among females during 2006-2021. During 2011-2019, rates remained relatively stable among males and females and declined in 2020. In 2021, the reported rate of acute hepatitis B was 0.7 cases per 100,000 population among males and 0.5 cases per 100,000 population among females.
