Revision of the Proposed Expansion
of the AIDS Surveillance Case Definition
In November 1991, CDC proposed an expansion of the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) surveillance case definition and solicited public comment (1). Following a review of these comments and additional scientific data, CDC has revised the proposed expansion.
