About
- Many organizations have provided support for the NIOSH National Firefighter Registry (NFR) for Cancer.
- Organizations can be recognized as NFR Champions by sharing information about the NFR with their networks during each calendar year.

Become an NFR Champion
How it works
Complete three or more promotional activities
Complete at least three promotional activities per calendar year to be an NFR Champion. Examples of promotional activities your organization can do include:
- Write a letter of support for the NFR
- Send emails about the NFR to your listservs
- Add information about the NFR to your newsletters, blogs, or websites
- Share NFR information at in-person or virtual meetings or conferences
- Request and share printed NFR materials with your network
- Post about the NFR on your organization's social media channels
- Give firefighters time during a meeting to join the NFR (it only takes 5 minutes to get started)
More ideas and resources are available in our promotion kit.
Share your activities
To be recognized, email NFRegistry@cdc.gov and share your qualifying activities.
NIOSH will email you a certificate of appreciation, a website badge, and social media posts to share each year your organization qualifies as an NFR Champion.
