Key points

During 2023, rates of reported cases of acute hepatitis C were highest in persons aged 30-39 and lowest in persons aged 0-19 years. From 2022-2023, rates decreased among persons aged 30-39, remained stable among persons aged 0-29, and increased among persons aged 40 years and older.
