Overview
The PE Fellowship selection process is extremely competitive. The program selects about 10 Traditional Track fellows and 10 Analytics and Modeling Track fellows each year. Most fellows are placed in assignments at CDC headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. It is possible that some fellows will be assigned to other states or public health agencies.
To apply to the PE Fellowship, applicants must:
- Meet the requirements described on the eligibility page.
- Be willing to commit to a two-year, full-time program.
- Be willing to relocate to the assignment location.
The program leverages the input of the multi-disciplinary decision science community at CDC. It focuses on academic preparedness, letters of recommendation, research and work experience, publications or evidence of publication potential, methodological and data skills, and a personal statement.
