The CDC WONDER Online Database is the source of the 2023 National Vital Statistics System birth data featured in Stats of the States.

Differences by state do not account for state specific population characteristics that may affect birth characteristics.

When the number of births is small, differences by state may be unreliable due to instability in rates.
